I have been using Tommy for over 5 years through several cars that had a lot of problems. I finally bought a Toyota, so I don't have to see Tommy very often now. He is the best mechanic I have ever had in my life. He was recommended by my cousin and her husband who had used him for a few years. He is so honest. I trust him totally with my car and he is always right. In the beginning, I would get a price from him and then call around to compare and he has always saved me money. He also works very fast. Most times when I bring it in with a problem, he has it diagnosed by noon and calls with the "good news" and tells me how much it will cost. His estimates are always true. He has never come back later and told me that it came out to cost more than he quoted. He would then order the part and get it the same day and do the work and my car would be ready by closing time that same day. I had a car that overheated and the head blew. He had the car for awhile waiting for the tool company to repair the head. He put it all back together and it was great after that. I can't recommend him enough because what is the most importannt thing is that I TRUST HIM AND WOULD AND DO RECOMMEND HIM TO ANY FRIEND THAT ASKS ME WHO IS A GOOD MECHANIC.

“I recently took my Chrysler Town & Country van to Quantum Mechanix in Mansfield, Texas, for an oil change. I asked the owner, Tommy Frantzen, to also identify the mysterious whirring noise. Tommy took the van for a quick spin before pulling into the shop. He got out and said, ‘It sounds like a problem with your air conditioner compressor. The other sound I heard tells me that I better look at your front brakes, too.’ WOW! And I thought you had to look under the hood for car repair answers!
Which means that it only took two minutes for Tommy’s years of automotive experience to save me from two potentially dangerous highway situations. As it turned out, my front brakes were, ‘…probably good for another 20 miles or so before actual metal on metal...’ yikes! Tommy also took the time to explain that if the A/C compressor ‘seized up’ (he used more detailed technical language, of course), the engine would stop running. (With my luck… at midnight on a two-lane road in the fog with no cell phone reception.)

“I just moved to Texas from California and I have been trying to look for a (good, trustworthy, honest and affordable) mechanic for the past 11 months. After researching online, I have now found him! Tommy from Quantum Mechanix is quality! I called him this morning to ask for a quote and he gave me more than just a quote. He took the time to explain to me in detail about the job that I wanted to be done and its specifics. The vibe that I got from him already told me that this guy knew what he was talking about!
